The Princess
Within is unique, primarily because of our unyielding
commitment and passion towards catering to the needs and
matters of the hearts of today’s young girls. The Princess
Within is dedicated to helping girls become all that they
were created to be. The Princess Within takes great pride in
cultivating the leadership skills of tomorrow’s leaders and
bridging the gap between younger and older generations of
girls and women. The Princess Within is a non-for profit
organization section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue
Code.
According to the Commonwealth Fund of Health for
Adolescent Girls (2001), 1 in every 4 girls
experience serious depression. Girls are
involved in substantially more violent crimes
today than they were a decade ago. Girls
entering junior high feel less self-confident
than they do in elementary school, and they
become less assured with each successive year in
school. Today more than ever, young girls face
countless challenges from learning how to focus
their attention amidst constant simulation to
dealing with peer pressure and bullying at
school, to learning to be comfortable in one’s
growing and challenging body. Girls are
experiencing teen pressures at a much younger
age than generations have in the past.
The Princess Within is an incentive because
it provides girls across the world with an
opportunity to participate in a program that
cultivates leadership skills and to develops
responsible future leaders. The Princess Within
Program is dedicated to motivating, empowering,
educating and equipping girls with the practical
knowledge, educational tools and life skills
they need in order to excel academically and
succeed in life. The program has a successful
track record of having a transformative impact
on participating communities, schools and
organizations across the world. |
